Contemporary abstractions that combine grids from orange construction fences and rich textured mixed media surfaces.
As Covid-19 numbers in Massachusetts and across the country moved up and down, even in locations where there is a high vaccination rate, I noticed the removal of markings on the floor that said where to stand at a distance and which direction to walk in public spaces. After the tape arrows were removed from a rug, the bas relief caught my eye, and are documented in this painting.
Remnants of the Pandemic Even Though It’s Not Over is created with photographs, paint, and monoprinted construction fence fabric collaged on 6” x 6" board.
